8th Annual Pig Roast And Luau Saturday May 15th

Appetizers:  5:00 PM

Dinner : 6:00 PM

$10 for adults– children under 12 free

Last year’s Pig Roast and Luau fell victim to the virus, so this year we’ve decided to double up on the fun. Everyone with a boat at the marina, whether they are a club member or not, is invited. We think this will be a great opportunity to show everyone the benefits of club membership.

You’re encouraged to dress up in your best Polynesian / Hawaiian outfits. There will be prizes for the best and most outrageously dressed and a very generous door prize. There will also be great entertainment.

The club’s Master Pig Roaster, John Burrows, will put the pig on the roaster late Friday night, so it will  be succulent and tasty by the time it’s served Saturday night.

The club will provide the pig and side dishes.  Guests are encouraged to bring an appetizer or dessert to share.

We always have more than enough food – so you are encouraged to bring guests.

Please RSVP to streatfild@aol.com by May 8th

UPDATE:  Note race schedule change below. Race is on Sunday due to weather. Dinner events are unchanged.

Lake Guntersville Sailing Hardware Exchange

The “Lake Guntersville Sailing Hardware Exchange” is now up and running as a closed Facebook Marketplace exchange where sailors can buy, sell, or trade marine items. Several items have been posted and more should be added soon. This closed Facebook exchange is available to anyone who has a sailboat at Lake Guntersville. Even if you are not an active Facebook user, I think you will find it worthwhile. Facebook does not charge for posting or purchasing items through the marketplace. You can find it by searching for “Lake Guntersville Sailing Hardware Exchange” on Facebook, or clicking the link above.

If you have any questions concerning the Marketplace, please contact Brian West  or John Streatfeild
